About the Role
As a member of the BAGGU development team, you’ll join a small group of hardworking individuals who are responsible for bringing BAGGU products to life. We work closely with our SF based design team and international suppliers to ensure all products meet our due dates, target costs, and quality standards.
This is the perfect position for anyone interested in learning more about sourcing & supply chain. In this role you will support our Senior Development Manager oversee the day to day product development process. You will play an important role in project managing the development of new trim components, fabrications and packaging materials, as well help manage in house/third party performance testing & audits.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 1-2 years of industry experience, is detail oriented, organized, a strong written communicator, self starter, & eager to learn.
Location and Working Hours
Hybrid: Able to work onsite at SF office 3 days a week or more as needed seasonally
Responsibilities
- Cross team project management
- Source and develop new packaging materials
- Daily supplier communication to monitor and track development statuses
- Analyze and maintain up-to-date documentation for all material certifications as well as social/environmental compliance audits
- Review and organize third party product performance testing reports to ensure quality standards are met
- Support special projects as needed
Requirements
- Able to work onsite at SF office 3 days a week or more as needed seasonally
- 1 - 2 years of related work experience in sourcing, product development, production or supply chain
- Experience using a PLM system ~ We use Backbone
- Comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Calm under pressure - able to prioritize effectively
- Familiar with performance testing (ASTM), certifications (GRS, GOTS, OEKO-TEX) & social compliance audits (BSCI, SMETA, ISO) is a plus, but not required
- Curious and passionate about innovative materials, manufacturing processes and technologies
